This is a collaboration with glass artist Kristin Newton.
A real treasure will show up when this Karakuri box is opened.
Kristin creates her art pieces one by one from her inspiration.
Each glass piece is just one-of-a-kind.
I made a specially designed Ripple Out box for her beautiful glass, using special layers of wood for the top board and a special front board for the drawer.
It is not a typical box to hold something, but please enjoy this as a “Movable Art Piece”, combined Karakuri box and beautiful glass art.
This mechanism is same as OS-17 Ripple out.
※Fragile glass art piece is inside the drawer. Do not hit it strong or fall off.
Kristin Newton
